About me
Born and raised in the South Bronx, Amanda Septimo has a long, rich history of service to the community. Over the years Amanda has worked with local community organizations, in the labor movement, and in government to advance an agenda of inclusive, sustainable, and responsible growth in The Bronx.
Amanda’s path to public service began at The Point Community Development Corporation’s teen activist program, A.C.T.I.O.N, and continued through college. Amanda joined the staff at Congressman Serrano’s office in 2013. After four years of work in Congress, Amanda transitioned to the pursuit of justice through the labor movement, joining staff at the Council of School Supervisors and Administrators (CSA), and later the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA).
Today, Amanda Septimo uses the depth of her experiences to continue the fight for true equity in the South Bronx while serving as Assembly Member in the 84th District.
