About me
Elizabeth Bennett-Parker is the Delegate for the 5th Virginia House District, located in Alexandria.
Elizabeth is the fifth member of the House of Delegates to give birth while in office (in 405 years), and she is committed to supporting children and families. She has championed early childhood education, school meals for all, and measures to help families remain housed.
She has also carried and passed bills to enhance voting rights and disability rights, improve access to participation in government through virtual meetings and remote participation, and strengthen protections for survivors of domestic violence and stalking.
Elizabeth serves on the House Finance, General Laws, and Counties, Cities & Towns Committees. She previously served as the Vice Mayor of Alexandria and as a co-leader of Together We Bake, a non-profit job training and personal development program for underserved women.
She lives in Alexandria with her husband, daughter, and their rescue cat and dog.
