About me
Liz Rupel is the Deputy Director for the Illinois Stewardship Alliance. She began her journey with the Alliance as a Farmers Market intern in 2016 and has since developed her community organizing skills, deep commitment to the mission, and drive for change. Liz believes that making a lasting impact requires collaboration and strong organization. As Deputy Director, she now leads initiatives that empower farmers and local communities to create meaningful change in Illinois's food and farm systems. Liz holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Environmental Studies, with a focus on policy and sustainable development, from the University of Illinois Springfield.
