Pat Garofalo is the director of state and local policy at the American Economic Liberties Project. He is the author of “The Billionaire Boondoggle” book and the Boondoggle newsletter on Substack. Prior to joining Economic Liberties, he was an economic policy and politics writer and editor for U.S. News & World Report, ThinkProgress, and TalkPoverty.
